The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Piaggione S.V. DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Salicutti has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, rich ruby. Exciting nose with ripe dark cherry, some plum, nougat and liquorice in the background. Pithy, tightly woven tannins, a very masculine version of Brunello, then sweet fruit on the long finish.
