The white wine Phönix trocken Mecklenburger Landwein, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Schloss Rattey has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points.
A fresh, herbal-spicy aroma emanates from the glass, garden cedar, mustard seeds. On the palate, the wine has a certain breadth, a carefully extracted amount of phenolics gives structure to the volume, a hint of sweetness plays around the vivid but well-integrated acidity. Despite its good fullness, the wine finishes lean and pithy.
