The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, vintage 2022 from the winery Scriani has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella from the region Fumane in Italy.
Deep, dark ruby red colour, rich. Not entirely precise on the nose, a fine potpourri of dried herbs, dark chocolate, tomato paste, wood and rich black cherry. Opens up on the palate with tightly woven tannins and rich savouriness, with a subtly sweet flavour and noticeable wood, finishing with a slightly broad and slightly burnt finish.
