Erste Lage Spätburgunder R Qualitätswein trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Bürgerspital has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Franconia in Germany.
Red cherry, cranberry, subtle new wood, vanilla and roasted aromas. Soft and plump on the palate, clearly characterised by the rounding off in wooden barrels, mellow tannins and soft acidity, long finish, a late Pinot Noir that appears very discreet and reserved, supple and playful with a fine final fruit.
More about the tastingNotes of sour cherry, red cherry, liquorice, vanilla and roasted aromas on the nose. Soft and round on the palate, good extract with a strong contour and soft acidity, long finish, has not yet reached its full ageing potential. Smooth and playful.
