The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Tenuta Casenuove has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, shiny ruby red. On the nose, ripe sweet cherries and strawberries, subtle hints of raspberry confit, earthy notes and a touch of cold smoke. Rich, compact and full on the palate, with grippy, earthy tannins and a light finish with slightly vegetal and ferrous tones.
More about the tastingIntense ruby red, almost impenetrable. On the nose a lot of coffee and dark chocolate, behind it some Mediterranean herbs. In the glass a little marzipan, decidedly juicy, nice tension, vibrant acidity, rich tannins, salty-spicy finish.
