The red wine Assai Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Terra di Seta has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
Bright ruby red with subtly brightening rim. On the nose it is bacon smokey, but also perfumed, notes of rose petals, plus fine cherry fruit, seems torn. On the palate it presents with a lot of tannin, tightly meshed, also shows some juiciness, then slightly bacon tones with a delicate bitter note on the finish.
