The sweet and dessert wine Recioto della Valpolicella DOC, vintage 2003 from the winery Trabucchi d’Illasi has been rated in 2006 with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella , Oseleta from the region Veneto in Italy.
Bright, rich ruby; shows very fine fragrant notes on the nose, of violets, followed by cherries and cloves; brings a lot of ripe, rich fruit at the beginning, then unfolds with surprisingly grippy tannins, gripping and firm, then unfortunately shows quite pronounced bitter tones in the finish.
