The white wine Weißer Burgunder vom Kalkstein, vintage 2015 from the winery Wein & Sekthaus Alois Kiefer has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Very herbal on the nose, notes of wormwood and grappa, with medicinal undertones. Highly concentrated on the palate, pronounced fruit, quite lively acidity, very juicy with lots of tension on the mid-palate, still quite youthful and yeasty on the finish, followed by the herbal and menthol-like notes.
