The orange wine »Was zum Guckuck« St. Martin Am Guckuckberg Riesling, vintage 2020 from the winery Wein & Sekthaus Alois Kiefer has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Golden yellow in colour, with aromas of ripe stone fruit, some beeswax, stewed apples and cider, passion fruit, dried chamomile, peppery and herbal notes, and a hint of marzipan. There is a contrast on the palate, which is very fresh with lively acidity, also carbon dioxide and citric notes, and noticeable phenolics, unconventionally good.
