The red wine »Muschelkalk« Spätburgunder, vintage 2022 from the winery Wein- und Sektgut Wilhelmshof has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Inviting and somewhat reductive aromas, notes of small red and black berries as well as a cool savouriness, juniper, peppers, plus subtle hints of development, with fresh leather, coffee and tobacco in the background. Very juicy initially on the palate, with a creamy texture, at the same time a full-bodied structure and a fine tannin framework.
