The white wine »Geheimrat J« Rheingau Riesling trocken, vintage 2013 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 95+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Slightly smoky on the nose, with aromas of apple sauce and peach - a subtle but complex bouquet. In the mouth, the wine is pithy, very concentrated, full of tension, but with a lot of background and not austere, almost salivatingly intense, crisp, a "white red wine" with great ageing potential.
