Tasting Notes
The "Saphir" offers a strong piquancy on the nose and, despite its name, a rather ruby red coloured appearance. There are notes of cherry, blueberry and a hint of elderberry on the palate. It appears denser, more full-bodied and spicier than the "Beryll" from the same house, but it always remains firm, well-balanced and with great ageing potential.
