The white wine »Großes Gewächs« Sommerhausen Schönleite Silvaner trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut am Ölspiel has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
The wine is still closed on the nose, but in addition to a slight wood influence, it already shows some shell limestone: smoky notes. The palate structure is very balanced: A hint of phenolics meets a supple foundation, ripe acidity carries. Inconspicuous, but full of certain ageing potential.
