The white wine »Kalkbrunnen« Chardonnay, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Aufricht has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
A still slightly reductive nose, but also varietal hints of hazelnut, leafy and green, some lime. On the palate, the wine has an equally juicy and silky nature, the lively acidity is well-integrated, the use of oak seems well-adapted to the slightly cooler vintage. The wine still finishes compact, will still unfold to become a perfect food wine.
