The white wine »Junges Schwaben« Sauvignon Blanc Fumé trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Bernhard Ellwanger has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Gooseberry, fresh citrus zest and a pinch of savoury new wood can be found on the nose. On the palate the wine shows concentration, a fresh acid nerve and tense phenolics. In the long-lasting finish, viscous fruit appears in combination with a spiciness that is still closed but hints at coming complexity.
