The white wine »Augustbaum« Sommerach Katzenkopf Silvaner trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Freihof has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Strong lemon yellow in colour with greenish reflections. Intense aromas of butter, floral meadow and a savoury element. On the palate it's dense and taut, compactly built with lots of extract and concentrated fruit. A lively acidity and tactile minerality create lots of tension and good length.
