The red wine »Vulkan« Pinot Noir trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Greiner has been rated in 2023 with 95+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, intense fruit, reminiscent of sloe and wild raspberry, clear peppery notes, a touch of wax and aromas of spontaneous fermentation. On the palate, a lot of drive with mellow tannins, seamlessly integrated ripe acidity, a homogenous structure with a juicy, savoury finish and a nice mineral note.
More about the tastingThe nose shows intense fruit reminiscent of sloe and wild raspberry, as well as distinctly peppery aromas; wax and spontaneous fermentation flavors are also vivid. In the mouth, the wine makes a lot of drive with mellow tannins, the structure remains quite long homogeneous on the palate, ripe acidity is seamlessly integrated, and the wine finishes juicy and savoury, with a nice mineral tint.
