The red wine Höhenflug, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Hensel has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose, black and red cherry, a slightly savoury note, hints of wood and smoke, blackberry, cassis, a touch of toffee, black pepper, tobacco and earthy notes. On the palate, a powerful structure with well-balanced proportions, intense fruit with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant, ripe, grippy tannin, well-integrated acidity, medium complexity and length.
