The red wine Südtirol Lagrein Steinraffler DOC, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut J. Hofstätter has been rated in 2014 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling dark ruby violet. Very intense, appealing nose, full of blueberries and mulberries, underlaid with slightly earthy notes and dark chocolate. Compact on the palate, with lots of ripe red fruit, develops with polished tannins, balanced and long, with a tobacco aftertaste.
