The white wine Würzburger Stein Riesling trocken GG, vintage 2014 from the winery Weingut Juliusspital has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Franconia in Germany.
Wax, tangerine, floral tones, rose, but also white peach and a subtle wood barrel influence. Powerful on the palate, densely textured, with a layer of silky phenolics under the zesty acid nerve, a Riesling for the long haul, as an accompaniment to food, but can also be enjoyed on its own.
More about the tastingOpulent, complex right from the start. Its fragrance is reminiscent of grapefruit, kumquat and lemon zest, with a hint of brook mint in the top note. Delicate taste thanks to the polished acidity, which leads straight into the long finish.
