The white wine »Alte Reben« Chardonnay Auslese trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Ökonomierat Petgen-Dahm has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Moselle in Germany.
The aroma shows a hint of sultana and, positively, overripe fruit. There is also an aroma of wild strawberry. The palate has good tension and subtle phenolics support the impression of rich elegance that emanates from the sweet and sour presentation.
More about the tastingAroma of ripe apple, some smoke, delicate vanilla, mildly roasted hazelnut, later ripe orange and a hint of peach. Elegant and flowing on the palate, well-balanced acidity, apple again, some pear, beautiful texture, juicy, harmoniously balanced.
