The white wine »Zafrán« Viognier, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Oliver Zeter has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Viognier from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Light gold in colour. Candied apricot, caraway, a hint of aniseed and iodine. on the nose. It's powerful in the mouth with a high amount of very fine phenolics and undoubtedly built on extract, but still with natural balance and aromatic ageing potential thanks to a fine backbone and good mineral base. Unconventional and individual.
