The red wine Blauburgunder Riserva Exclusiv DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Weingut Plonerhof has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blauburger from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling ruby with a fine shimmer. Fragrant, intense nose, initially very spicy, lots of cardamom and aniseed, then opens up with fine fruit, especially blackberry and sour cherry, crisp. Very juicy on the palate, shows beautifully ripe berry fruit, opens up with lots of fine tannins, beautiful playfulness, full-bodied pressure on the finish, with a spicy aftertaste.
