The white wine »Barrique« Riesling trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Prof. Wartenberg has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Saale-Unstrut in Germany.
The barrique is evident in the aroma, white nougat, caramel, mango, yellow banana peel, acacia honey, white lilac and musk. The palate opens up voluminously, ripe acidity on a viscous base of ripe fruit and woody savouriness, full-bodied and with plenty of power, a gastronomic type.
