Tasting Notes
Deep dark ruby garnet with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a touch of edge brightening. Black forest berry jam and cassis on the nose is underlaid with fine herbal spices, notes of liquorice and tobacco, and candied orange zest. Powerful, tightly meshed and firm tannins on the palate lead to a fine nougat-cherry touch on the finish. It remains very persistent and has definite ageing potential.
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby garnet colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Delicate savoury aromas, hints of cloves, ripe plums, sweet blackberry confit. Complex, very powerful, cherries, vivid, somewhat demanding tannins, needs time, still shows little varietal character.
