The red wine Randersacker Sonnenstuhl Hohenroth Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Schmitts Kinder has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Franconia in Germany.
There is a spicy aroma, with plum, an animalistic element, and fragrances from a whole herb garden. On the palate it has a balsamic oily opening, immensely fine tannins in medium-high quantity, a vital acidity, an aromatic richness and fullness on the one hand, combined with concentration on the other. It is long, and also displays some minerality.
