The sweet and dessert wine Zweigelt Auslese, vintage 2004 from the winery Weinlaubenhof Kracher has been rated in 2006 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Probably the most successful variety in this category since the introduction of the Kracher Auslese. Medium ruby garnet, delicate watery rim. Smoky, dark berry notes on the nose, slightly reminiscent of Piedmont cherries, clear red wine character, delicate oak touch. Powerful on the palate, the sweetness is very well integrated, although there are a good 50 grams of residual sugar, delicate aftertaste of plums and cherries, fresh and persistent, delicate aftertaste of sour cherries and lemons.
