The red wine Lagrein Südtirol DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Wilhelm Walch has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Very intense dark red with purple reflections. Notes of ripe berries, elderberries, soft sour cherries, reminiscent of strawberry confit and chocolate powder. Fine and fruity on the palate with cassis, warm and soft, with silky tannins and a slightly woody finish.
