About Us

Falstaff Publishing House

Falstaff International is the first foray into English language publishing by Falstaff Publishing. Founded in 1980 as a wine magazine in Austria, Falstaff now is an established media platform in German-speaking Europe with leading publications and websites in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Falstaff print and e-magazines including line extensions make Falstaff the biggest wine, food and travel magazine in German-speaking Europe with a total circulation of around 150,000.

In all three countries Falstaff publishes authoritative annual wine guides reflecting and representing these countries’ wine industries. The German and Austrian guides also appear in English. With the homepages falstaff.at, falstaff.de and falstaff.ch, the newsletters, the social media presence and the guide apps, Falstaff’s total audience and community is in the millions.

Who was Falstaff?

"Falstaff International is my biggest media project for a well-traveled, hedonistic, educated and affluent readership. Good food and outstanding wines connect people on every continent. The appetite for the good life is greater than ever - now is exactly the right moment to give the world a new platform for wine, food and travel," says publisher Wolfgang M. Rosam.

Falstaff International - Since 2021

falstaff.com was launched in June. It is being developed into an international portal for wine, food and travel and engages its readership with a weekly newsletter.

In November 2021, the first print edition of our quarterly Falstaff Magazine will appear with a circulation of 100,000 copies.

It will be distributed via international newsstands in 41 countries and will also be sent to industry insiders: the world's best restaurants, major wine bars and hotels.
