About Falstaff International

Falstaff International is a new and contemporary voice for wine, food and travel.

This triple focus is key. Every wine, every foodstuff has a provenance. Each sip, each mouthful, each place holds a story that represents culture itself. It is those stories we tell – with authenticity, esprit and colour: of people and places, of sights, sounds and flavours.

We believe in this joyful and inextricable trinity: we begin with wine and take it further: to places familiar and exotic, to food, restaurants and recipes. We also bring you thoughts, essays, ideas.

Our project is unusual: we are new in the English-speaking world but by no means a start-up. Falstaff Magazine was founded in 1980 as a wine journal in Austria. Headquartered in Vienna, Falstaff today is an established media platform with leading print and online publications in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 2021 marks the year Falstaff becomes truly international – with this website and an English-language magazine appearing quarterly.

Falstaff International thus unites a depth of experience with a wonderfully fresh, young and global outlook. Our roots are European, but our perspective is global. We have longstanding expertise but are at the forefront of ideas. We present both new and seasoned voices and convey both cultural depth and original thought.

We hope to become your inside track to a whole world of pleasure.

Come and join us in our adventure!
