On May 18, 2026, Boxwood – The Art of Steak invites you to a special evening in Vienna. Selected wines from Austria and Italy will be tasted, combined with premium steaks from the Josper grill.
Before the World Cup kicks off on June 11, fans can get in the mood for the tournament at the Steak & Wine Country Showdown Austria vs. Italy on May 18, 2026 at Boxwood - The Art of Steak in Vienna. Six wines will be tasted for each of the two countries, accompanied by matching meat dishes straight from the Josper grill.
The steaks come from carefully selected cattle: both US beef of the highest quality class USDA Prime and local organic cattle. Head chef Ogun Yildirim, who has worked in London and Ireland, works together with grill master Gustavo Ojeda, who has over eleven years of experience at the Viennese steak restaurant El Gaucho. The cuts are prepared on the 400 °C Josper grill. The wine pairing on this evening reflects the diversity of both countries: classic wines meet exceptional rarities, which can be sampled by the glass. If the weather permits it, the evening takes place in the restaurant's garden.
