Albillo is a white Spanish grape variety that can be found on the market with different names. Albillo Madrid is the name of the grapes in the wine-growing regions of Madrid, Avila, Salamanca and Zamora. The second other important name is Albillo Mayor which is planted in Ribera del Duero and Castile-León in Burgos, Segovia and Valladolid. The grape variety ripens very early, harvest time in mid-August, it has a pale berry skin, delicate scents with floral aromas, low acidity, high viscosity and produces full-bodied wines.
