Farmhouse Torgglerhof
Self Description
The Torgglerhof farmhouse in Saltaus is a place where tranquility, nature, and active farming come together in a unique way. Nestled between the forest and its own apple orchards, the view stretches far across the Passeier mountains—a backdrop that slows the pace of life while inspiring the soul. The farm does not see itself as a traditional hotel, but rather as a vibrant retreat, shaped by the people who run it with passion and fill it with life every day.
At the Torgglerhof, intergenerational togetherness is consciously cultivated: families are not an afterthought here, but a natural part of the concept. Children discover nature among the garden, apple trees, and play areas, or accompany Grandpa Sepp on a ride through the vineyards, while adults can enjoy both the lively farm life and quiet retreats. Two lovingly designed gazebos in the garden—one for families, one exclusively for adults—create precisely this balance of community and relaxation.
A central element of the farm is the cuisine, which consistently puts the “farm-to-table” philosophy into practice. Much of what ends up on the plate grows right on the farm: fruits and vegetables come from the farm’s own garden, and many other ingredients from the immediate surroundings or from fellow producers. The kitchen stands for authentic flavor, seasonal freshness, and a distinct style that prioritizes regionality and quality. Culinary experiences such as the “Table Deck Dich” (Chef’s Table), picnics in the vineyard, or wine tastings—sometimes combined with unique insights like a bunker tour—make dining here a holistic experience.
In addition, the farm’s diverse offerings invite guests to get involved and discover something new: from flower wreath making and creative workshops to weekly garden concerts. The farm shop, featuring products from our own production, a wine shop, and select interior treasures round out the experience and reflect the attention to detail that permeates the entire property.
