Child friendly Cafés in Tyrol

One of the oldest cafés in Innsbruck is hidden behind historic walls. Cakes, tartlets, meringues, etc. from the in-house pastry shop are made without additives, such as the Katzungtorte with curd cheese and hazelnuts. When the sun is shining, the guest garden beckons.

Cakes, tartlets, macarons, chocolates? In Tyrol's oldest confectionery café, the choice is difficult. But you can't go wrong at Mundingplatzl, because the recipes for the wonderful cakes are passed down from generation to generation.

Since 2007, the family business has stood for quality, dedication and sustainability – for the latter, it has received an award. The green coffee beans are gently roasted by owner and barista master Cem Korkmaz. The result: wonderfully fragrant coffee creations.

A cosy café by day, a bar by night: the concept in the heart of Innsbruck is as popular with locals as it is with guests. The coffee comes from the Dinzler coffee roasting company, and there's also a changing selection of cakes, tarts and homemade sodas.

Austria's most westerly Viennese coffeehouse in downtown Innsbruck offers almost 70 different daily newspapers in addition to Verlängertem, iced coffee & co. Gugelhupf and warm curd strudel are delicious, and the cakes are also worth a sin.

In the center of St. Anton, Niall Pomeroy and James Harding have created a gastronomic refuge. Coffee is accompanied by classics as well as specialties such as affogato and sweets ranging from tarts and pastries to Kaiserschmarren with rum and raisin ice cream.

Lots of glass, warm wood and a spacious sun terrace - the friendly café confectionery of the Lorenzoni family has been a fixture in Kirchberg for many years. A good cup of coffee goes well with the homemade cake or praline from Lower Austria.

Airy, bright, modern - and with a magnificent view of the city of Innsbruck. The very good coffee tastes even better, not to mention the changing cakes and tarts. Tip: the Bergiseltorte and the Kaiserschmarren with apple sauce.

Bella Italia in the heart of Innsbruck. The team of the friendly restaurant spoils the guests with original Italian coffee from Caffè Bristot. The sweet delicacies come from the Lorenzoni pastry shop. Tiramisù and pannacotta are also not to be missed.

Roasting and offering really good coffee - that is Thomas Hofer's class; and he more than lives up to it in his coffee roastery. Fair, sustainable, hand-roasted. The fine coffee specialties taste just as good in the mini guest room as they do in the beautiful garden.

Between Seegrube and Patscherkofel, brunch enthusiasts get their money's worth – the selection is accordingly large. Home-made brownies and warm banana bread with honey go well with fragrant Italian roast coffee or matcha latte.

The family-run business in Pradl with ice cream parlour, which has existed since 1956, is known for its specialties, such as banana cake. The coffee is roasted in the in-house roastery according to their own process. Tip: Ice cream and frozen yogurt with yogurt from the region.

The cosy, leather-upholstered seating areas exude traditional coffeehouse charm in Kufstein's Inntalcenter. Bettina Reisch and her team offer local and Italian coffee specialties to go with cake, strudel, or torte. The iced coffee is very popular.

Coffee and hot chocolate, homemade cakes ranging from Apfel-Schmand to cheesecake and confectionery such as Florentine or hand-scooped chocolate. The Pano cafés stand for quality and enjoyment. The Kitzbühel branch also has a beautiful guest garden.
