"Cold dishes" Bars in Tyrol
As soon as you spot the battery of rare rums from Foursquare in Zell am Ziller, you know that this is no run-of-the-mill Alpine hotel bar. Andreas Hotter's passion for spirits is translated into the locally inspired cocktail menu, where "Flügerl" is banned, but Swiss stone pine, apricot and wild rose are welcome.
The new bar menu focuses on individualistic ingredients (pollen, elderberry, apricot) and, as always, is a visual treat. Tomato and sherry ("Tom&Sherry") add umami to the glass, and the non-alcoholic options are also top-notch. And for advanced barflies, mezcal meets strawberries. Delicious!
In the Oberliga, where Damir Bušić often represents Western Austria, it's all about the details; at the reception, with the drinks, with the ice cream. The international team pays a lot of attention to the latter - alongside Rose, it is one of the main characters in "Six Feet Under". Martini fans go for the "Up Side Down". Everything here is of the finest quality.
In the charming speakeasy bar, you can make yourself comfortable under crystal chandeliers - in the wing chairs or at the bar. The cocktails served by the competent, friendly team are always of first-class quality, especially the many different variations with gin. This is also available at the gin dinner or gin tasting.
Bar and patisserie at the same time; a sweet promise that the team around hosts Christina and Reinhard Binder-Egger skillfully keeps. The bar manager and his team refrain from using artificial additives in the fine drinks and also recommend unconventional drinks, aside from the regular tastings of rarities.
The snacks have been significantly upgraded (but the popcorn is still available) in the Rathausgalerien. New non-alcoholic options are available in the magnificent inner courtyard, as well as the peanut drink "Nutterrific" and "Palmside of Tiki" with strong Arrack. The steadfast can even explore the history of mankind in eight drinks.
High up on the 12th floor, the elegant bar invites its guests. Sonnenschein not only offers over 180 wines from Austria and around the world, but also serves great drinks. The sours are great, such as the daiquiri with homemade orange and thyme marmalade or the "Mallow Fizz" with mallow blossom gin.
A fire crackles in the fireplace, the live music gets your legs tapping and the cocktail is excellently mixed; this bar leaves nothing to be desired. The ambience is elegantly alpine and the selection of signature cocktails and drinks is second to none. Top: "Milk & Butter" with gin, lemon, vanilla or "Earl Grey ISCHGLtini".
You can also get a "whistle" in the casual vaulted bar, but the focus is on the cocktails. The changing selection is always top-notch. Impressive are the delicious creations by bar manager Franz, such as "Ain't it nutty?" with gin, walnut and vermouth. Matching bar food is served with the signature drinks.
No matter what the weather is like: thanks to the panoramic windows of the bar with sun terrace on the 5th floor, you can enjoy the view. Classic cocktails are mixed in the best style at the long bar. The changing signature drinks are also impressive, as is the range of whisk(e)y, rum and sparkling drinks - Bellini Royal, let's just say ...
Indulgence is a top priority at the Hotel am Wilden Kaiser, which is also reflected in the beautiful hotel bar. In addition to all-time favourites, there are very good signature cocktails, such as the "Chilly Chocolate Daiquiri" with chili-infused rum and lime. The bar team will be happy to advise you - also with regard to the great wine selection.
The bar at the luxury hotel run by host Elisabeth Gürtler is elegantly alpine. From the "Sacher-Spritz" with limoncello and grapefruit to classics and virgins such as the Clover Club with Siegfried Wonderleaf, raspberry and egg white: the bar team knows its craft. The huge selection of exclusive spirits is also top notch.
In the hotel's feel-good bar, homemade syrups, infusions, liqueurs and seasonal fruit form the basis for the drinks, such as the "Everybody's Darling" with whisk(e)y, lemon and cranberry jam. The menu is extensive, the team competent and the atmosphere homely and cozy thanks to the warm wood tones.
Pleasure-seekers are close to heaven in this colourful bar of the Sport & Art Hotel. The menu includes tried and tested classics - from aperitifs to long drinks and cocktails. Individual cocktails can be mixed on request - including non-alcoholic versions. There is a good selection of wines, regional beer and cider is also on offer.
Sophisticated yet relaxed: The Schindler celebrates high enjoyment. From classic aperitifs to cocktails and drinks, such as lychee martinis and sours, to fine spirits and schnapps - the quality is just right. The bar team is experienced and knowledgeable, and the Champagne selection is particularly large.
The name says it all - close to the campus, this relaxed bar has a casual living room atmosphere. The cocktail menu changes regularly and offers exciting facets, such as the "Golden Crystal Martini" with vodka, sherry, forest honey and violets. The attentive team is happy to offer advice and there are regular events.
Guests and locals alike appreciate the modern alpine restaurant bar. Signature cocktails include the Woods-style Pornstar Martini, which contains mango as well as the usual ingredients. The gin and tonic selection is well curated, such as "Tokyo's Journey" with Roku gin and ginger. Speaking of which, there is also a sake menu.
The spirit of the fin du siècle is revived here when you take a seat on one of the leather-covered bar stools or wing chairs. The menu delights with a high-quality selection of (sparkling) wines and spirits, classic cocktails, including non-alcoholic ones, and creative aperitifs such as "Autumn Gin Sour" with Isel gin and Grand Marnier.
Metin and Markus are true veterans of the Innsbruck bar scene. For three decades, their relaxed, classic cocktail bar has been all about drinks, drinks, drinks - from Cosmopolitan to Pornstar Martini, from stylish to fancy. The specials with seasonal fruit and high-quality spirits are also great.
Elegant ambience in alpine chic, finely mixed cocktails and drinks, pleasant atmosphere: a bar to feel good in. You can also rely on bar manager Sam Lutz and his team for quality - from the Dry Martini to the Zacapa Perfect Manhattan. The wine selection is outstanding. In the fall, there are rum, whisk(e)y and gin tastings.
