"Cold dishes" Bars in Tyrol
You wouldn't immediately recognise from the Tyrolean appearance that one of the most unusual bars in the country is waiting behind. Even the "Zwetschken Bellini" or the "Rote Bete Colada" - as good as they are - do not prepare you for Andi Hotter's treasure: the gigantic realm of spirits in which he masterfully navigates.
The bar's fifth birthday showed just how international the team's friends are. The fruit wines, for which David Barbist has a knack, are a USP. Chef Kostas Karvounis complements the tinkerer as an always cheerful host. Together they bring individualistic ingredients to life (also visually appealing).
Damir Bušić delves deeper and deeper into the world of Tyrolean flavours to fuse them with international recipes. The most recent example: the taming of the infamous "Krautinger", which only the master himself could achieve. If you want to entrust your own diary with unusual drinking adventures, you have to go to the Diary!
The location in the old stone tunnel alone - it is 90 metres deep in the fortress hill - makes the 1930 a must-go. Once here, it's all about the enormous selection of gins from all over the world - it's even listed in the Guinness Book of Records. An absolute experience with speakeasy character!
"Life is golden", according to this motto and full of great jazz club inspiration, the American Bar at the Grand Tirolia inspires not only with very well executed drinks and the large selection of whisk(e)y, tequila and co. Live performances by young artists invite you to listen, swing and enthuse - and to dance.
The bar at MalisGarten promises sensory flavour highlights, and we mean it. With innovative flavour sprays, you can track down the taste of the drink, making it easier to choose between the creative mixes. A cosy, sophisticated atmosphere, cocktail courses and countless "Spritz" variations for aperitifs!
A "hotel bar" can be this colourful! The relaxed inner courtyard sets the vibes, while the female bar team provides humour right from the drink names. "Smoking Skeleton" or "Adults only" are simply a must-try. The "flavoured popcorn" has long been a house classic. The agave trend is catered for by "Sonne & Leben", complete with Tajin seasoning.
The talented bar team led by Yannik Seeber is bringing new attention to the rooftop bar. Besides the unbeatable party atmosphere the drinks also take centre stage. With creations like the "Bloody Hell" (a potent tequila shot!) and even mocktails, they've got a lot to offer. This keeps them on track with their motto "We groove the roof!"
A sardine bar? That's right, Franz-Josef Perauer was so taken with the colourful cans of high-class fish that he designed his bar around them. Champagne, wines and ambitious drinks (such as the "Aquavit Manhattan" with kirsch and orange zest) are served over the counter. Cool hotspot in Mayrhofen.
Elegant ambience by the crackling open fire. Antonio Kos and the Post bar team serve top-quality drinks to round off the day in the mountains in style. Mixed classics, fruity or non-alcoholic drinks meet Champagne and a remarkable selection of spirits, for example with our own rum library.
Where even the bar food comes with a "champagne foam soup", the focus is on enjoyment. Bar manager Sam Lutz is one of the constants in the West with his creations - homemade ingredients meet fine spirits (for example "Unión", the top-class cigar rum). For a special finish: "SHF Espresso Martini".
The extravagantly illuminated bar at The Vue is a real eye-catcher and the rest of the ambience is also chic. A great setting for special evenings with exquisitely ambitious drink creations that surprise with unconventional combinations. Fans of non-alcoholic options will also get their money's worth here.
Everything in the stylishly designed Pfiff Bar is well thought out: the spirits are carefully selected and the bar's history is told in beautiful anecdotes on the menu. It also includes sensitively curated drink favourites such as the "Between the sheets" with cognac, rum and orange liqueur. Very attentive team.
A bar lounge that would also suit the seaside, here above the rooftops of Innsbruck with a view of the mountains and the sunset. The American Bar offers a full range of classic drinks, such as the Bellini Royal with Champagne, but also stylishly serves creative and non-alcoholic options.
Where should you drink "classically" if not in the bar of a Sacher Hotel? The Champagne cocktails (Kir Royal) go perfectly with the original Sacher-Torte, which is of course also served at the bar. Or perhaps a Negroni? If you fancy a special wellness holiday try the "Forever Young" drinks with hyaluronic acid and collagen.
Sink into a cosy armchair here and soak up the atmosphere between oriental-inspired elements and urban chic - the perfect way to spend a relaxing evening with a drink! Many of the drinks' ingredients are home-made by the team and come from the hotel's urban gardening concept.
The colourful and cosy interior with lots of wood and soft seating niches quickly makes you feel at home in your living room. The cocktail menu is creative and constantly evolving - because there is no room for the boring in the glasses of the competent team at the bar. The wide selection of beers also deserves attention.
With the Lienz Dolomites and the Isel right on the doorstep the terrace and saloon bar have a very special location. The fin-de-siècle reminiscences range from the furnishings to the stylish service. The perfect ambience for sipping whiskey sour or Champagne in an upholstered armchair and forgetting the time.
The Schindler is a chameleon: during the day and in the evening, for celebrating or relaxing with friends and engaging in conversation over a glass of wine. A classic whiskey sour tastes just as good here as new creations, a beer or high-quality spirits straight up. Tip: the "Mexican Mule" with padrecito and gingerberry.
It's not just the panorama that is popular here in the lounge of the Cubo Sport & Art Hotel - the modern bar also has many fans. Classic cocktails and creative drinks such as the "Cheesecake" with limoncello, cream, vanilla and lemon are served. Also: homemade lemonades as well as no- and low-alcohol drinks.
