Missing his beloved New York style pizza in Berlin, Jonathan Margulies opened his small restaurant Magic John's in Mitte in 2020. The menu includes classic margherita, truffle pizza, pizza with butternut squash topping or with vodka cream sauce and jalapeño.
This sabich shop in Kreuzberg has just four indoor seats and just as many dishes on the menu. It's best not to plan a visit here in the pouring rain or when short on time. It's worth the extra planning for one of the best sandwiches in town!

Ethiopia's cuisine can be very varied. Some of the country's specialities are served at Langano, such as kitfo (raw beef with Ethiopian butter) or shinbera asa wot (chickpea balls with chilli). The focus is on the guest's experience, the atmosphere is very welcoming.
In the meantime, Goldies has evolved from a hip shop to a classic. However, this does not mean that the queues for the delicious smash burgers have got any shorter. As there are few seats, it's best to choose a bench in advance.

The best burger in Neukölln: this unassuming shop on Pannierstraße serves outstanding classics such as chilli cheeseburgers, but also exciting creations such as Riesling gorgonzola sauce and veggie burgers. Best served with the chips or the guacamole.
The snack bar on Kastanienallee is known for its fusion cuisine, which combines Indian, Mexican, Italian and Californian influences. Select ingredients and fresh spices make each of the vegan and vegetarian dishes particularly tasty.
After various pop-ups and events, there has been a permanent Munchies restaurant in Bergmannkiez for all fast food fans since 2023. Munchies is known throughout the city for its creative selection of tapas, tacos, patty texture sandwiches and smash burgers. It's worth queuing.
Superfood street food is served here: tofu, salmon or pulled BBQ beef with seasonal vegetables and fresh sauces on a rice, quinoa or salad base. The whole thing is also available in a sweet version, for example with black rice, almond milk, mango and passion fruit.
You can get really tasty pizzas at Malafemmena in Schöneberg. The pizzas come from the licensed "Forni Valoriani" oven, which guarantees an authentic Neapolitan flavour. From the tomatoes to the burrata, only ingredients from Italy are used.
Authentic Japanese fast food can be found in the small shop Tsu Tsu on Graefestraße. We recommend the crispy deep-fried karaage bites, classically made from chicken or as a vegan version. They come with a savoury sauce, pickled radish and lemon.
At Al Rabuah in Wedding, middle eastern classics such as köfte, kebabs and meat dishes are cooked to perfection on the open grill. A particular highlight are the dough specialities such as the fresh manakish. The premises are spacious and the atmosphere is warm and informal.
Swadishta honours the vegetarian and vegan tradition of Indian cuisine and has dals, paneers and sabzis on its menu - among other things. The selection is large and varied, and the spices are always freshly ground. Pleasant: the quiet location near the lively Kurfürstenstraße.
The Korean restaurant lovingly serves classics such as bulgogi and bimbimbap made from fresh ingredients. The spacious yet cosy dining room makes the restaurant a lovely retreat on the bustling Grunewaldstraße. Very friendly service!
Zia Maria is perfect for a snack in between meals. The pizza parlour in Prenzlauer Berg offers fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan pizzas, all of which are delicious. When the weather is nice, you can eat on one of the benches in front of the restaurant.
