The best Pizza in Berlin
Missing his beloved New York style pizza in Berlin, Jonathan Margulies opened his small restaurant Magic John's in Mitte in 2020. The menu includes classic margherita, truffle pizza, pizza with butternut squash topping or with vodka cream sauce and jalapeño.
Giuseppe and Luca Giugliano base their pizza creations on the recipes of their great-grandfathers from Naples. At Pizza Nostra in Prenzlauer Berg, you can enjoy authentic Neapolitan classics such as calzone, focaccia and pizza with burrata.
Berlin has gained another pizza hotspot. At Slice Society, you can get large slices of pizza in your hand: slices with cheese, spicy salami, tomato sauce with vodka and crème fraîche or vegan. The flavour is enhanced with chilli honey, stracciatella or pesto cream.
You can get really tasty pizzas at Malafemmena in Schöneberg. The pizzas come from the licensed "Forni Valoriani" oven, which guarantees an authentic Neapolitan flavour. From the tomatoes to the burrata, only ingredients from Italy are used.
Zia Maria is perfect for a snack in between meals. The pizza parlour in Prenzlauer Berg offers fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan pizzas, all of which are delicious. When the weather is nice, you can eat on one of the benches in front of the restaurant.
A different kind of pizza: at Mamida in Prenzlauer Berg, the menu features exotic but extremely tasty combinations. Here you can enjoy sourdough pizza with apple puree, radicchio and gorgonzola or ricotta with bacon confit and cheddar cheese crisps.
Surprising pizza variations such as pumpkin with goat's cheese and chilli honey or "black pudding" (with black pudding!) are on the menu at the Salami Social Club. The New York-style pizzas impress with their crispy base and plenty of toppings. They are served with their own craft beer.
Fluffy Neapolitan-style pizzas are baked in a large pizza oven at Cheers Kiez Pizza. The menu includes a large selection of vegetarian and vegan pizzas as well as with meat toppings, which can be eaten in the small pizza kiosk or in the park opposite.
