Afternoon tea with footwear and scones

Biltmore Mayfair Hotel announces partnership with luxury footwear brand Malone Souliers during London Fashion Week.

Shoes can be placed on the table – at least during afternoon tea at the Biltmore Mayfair in February. Celebrating the February edition of London Fashion Week, a clothing trade show in London, this luxury hotel has announced a partnership with luxury footwear brand Malone Souliers.

Throughout February, signature Malone Souliers pointed-toe mules and accessories will be displayed at the afternoon tea hosted in the hotel’s tea lounge. Fashion-forward guests can expect a selection of handcrafted sweet creations that reflect the unique and unexpected designs of the brand´s footwear, served alongside traditional sandwiches and scones.

Savoury highlights include a Severn and Wye gravlax smoked salmon sandwich, with yuzu kosho and dill crème fraiche, and radish on soft rye bread and a Cornish chicken, basil pesto, rocket and sundried tomato sandwich on harissa bread. The sweet treats include the Maureen, a modern take on a strawberry, raspberry and rose compote and crumble in a caramel chocolate high heel; the Yasmin, a passionfruit, mango and pineapple creation with coconut and white chocolate mousse; and the Rita, an Earl Grey tea bavarois, with lychee and raspberry confit, presented as a chocolate handbag.

Guests of this special afternoon tea can shop Malone Souliers’ collections directly from The Biltmore’s lounge; the hotel´s concierge team can also organise shopping appointments with Malone Souliers’ stylists.

The Malone Souliers Afternoon Tea is available from February 1-28, served between 12.30pm and 5pm. The tea is priced at £80 per person, or £95 including a glass of Champagne.

The Biltmore Mayfair is located in the heart of London´s West End, featuring 250 luxury rooms, 49 suites and eight signature suites. The hotel has an array of dining options led by Executive Chef Luis Campos, including the Café Biltmore Restaurant and The Tea Lounge. Guests also have access to a state-of-the-art gym, open 24 hours a day.
