Dolder Grand opens 'ski lodge' in Zurich

One of the city's most sophisticated winter pop-ups has opened in the renowned Dolder Grand, bringing St. Moritz vibes to the centre of Zurich.

Zurich's Dolder Grand is bringing a piece of St. Moritz back to Switzerland's largest city. At the Dolder Lodge, you can experience the ambience and cuisine of the world's most legendary alpine town. Culinary director Heiko Nieder and his team have created a selection of hearty dishes that reinterpret alpine classics especially for the 'ski lodge'.

Fondue & Rösti

So, in addition to mountain potato rösti with Périgord truffle salad and pike-perch capuns with blanc de noir foam and caviar, the menu also includes cheese noodles with white truffle and nut butter. For his Fondue by Heiko Nieder, the Michelin-starred chef and cheese expert Rolf Beeler have put together an aromatic blend especially for the ski lodge. There is also classic cheese fondue and fondue chinoise with three types of meat.

The modern interior design of the pop-up combines both sporting elements and prominent buildings of the St. Moritz skyline. In addition, many elements and decorations are originals from the Engadine itself.

"We are very pleased to be able to continue this great cooperation with St. Moritz. As a city resort with international appeal, we share many things in common: excellent hospitality, outstanding cuisine and cosmopolitan flair – all in the midst of a spectacular backdrop," says general manager Markus Granelli.
