Gucci Osteria Launches Exclusive Easter Cake

In the lead-up to Easter, the Gucci Osteria in Florence presents an exclusive version of the traditional Italian Easter cake, Colomba.

Colomba, also called the Easter Dove because of its shape, is a popular pastry at Easter in Italy. Beautifully packaged, the sweet bread is often given as a gift to family and friends. Top chef Massimo Bottura's Gucci Osteria in Florence has now reinterpreted the classic Colomba and presents it in a limited edition tin decorated with the fashion house's famous floral pattern.

Designer Colomba

Similar to the dough of a panettone, the Colomba is distinguished by its glaze of almonds and macaroons and its shape, which echoes a typical Easter symbol - a dove in flight. The Michelin-starred Gucci restaurant's version features high-quality ingredients, including candied and hand-cut Japanese yuzu and bergamot. The Italian Easter cake including the Gucci tin costs €80.

The exclusive Colomba treat can be purchased until 14 April at the Gucci Osteria in Florence or via the web shop.
