Every year, AirlineRating.com uses a unique 360° analysis to select the most exceptional airlines around the globe. They examine criteria including fleet age, passenger reviews, Covid-19 rating and product offerings. This year, the aviation group has announced Qatar as the number one airline with outstanding performance, cabin innovation and a strong commitment to consistent and excellent customer service throughout the pandemic.
Qatar Airways is the world’s fastest-growing airline with one of the world’s youngest fleets. The airline also showed excellent efforts on renovation and adaptation during the pandemic, as it is the first global airline in the world to achieve the prestigious 5-Star Covid-19 Airline Safety Rating by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax.
Air New Zealand, a previous winner of Airline of the Year last year, took second place and claimed first in the premium economy and economy categories. Singapore Airlines took the third place and picked up Best First Class. Other big names making the top 20 are Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic.
