Best Zurich markets for gourmets

There is nothing like getting to know the soul of a city through its markets. Here are our recommendations for gourmets in Zurich.

Zurich has a long tradition of weekly markets, which are popular meeting places for epicureans. Their varied offerings, usually going beyond food products, leave little to be desired. In addition to classic market stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables from the region, meat, fish, cheese and other dairy products, there is also a respectable delicatessen range. Enjoy seasonal delicacies directly from the producer and be inspired by the hustle and bustle of these markets.

Oerlikon Weekly Market
Behind Oerlikon railway station, customers come to the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays to buy the finest bread (including a braided Swiss bread called Zopf), cheese, fish and meat products as well as fruit and vegetables directly from producers.
