Dubai: a sneak-peek at the ultra-luxury Atlantis The Royal resort

Scheduled to open in early 2023, the property is billed as the most luxurious experiential resort in the world with fire-and-water fountains, a sleeping pillow menu and top-class cuisine.

Luxury, grandeur and splendour: Atlantis The Royal in Dubai is presenting itself as the newest hotel icon complete with impressive gadgets, exclusive service and cutting-edge design. The hotel, scheduled to open early next year, has 795 rooms, suites and signature penthouses, which offer breathtaking views of the Dubai skyline and the Arabian Sea over 43 floors.

Butler service & high-end amenities

In the luxuriously appointed 44 suites and signature penthouses, guests of Atlantis The Royal can look forward to luxuriating in their own infinity pool. An elite butler service is also available, offering a specially selected pillow menu with seven types of pillows – from memory foam to pregnancy and buckwheat pillows. All of the resort's rooms have high-end furnishings from brands such Hermès and Frette and they also feature state-of-the-art technology so guests can control the temperature, lighting and TV via their mobile phones.

World's largest jellyfish aquarium

While world-leading designers, architects and artists have created dazzling works and furnishings, it is not just the design of the resort that is set to amaze guests. In addition to the world's largest jellyfish aquarium with around 4,000 moon jellyfish and fire-belching fountains, Atlantis The Royal also offers 90-metres of skypool, connecting the six towers of the imposing building.

Culinary excellence

The new hotel also leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to physical well-being. Guests can indulge in culinary delights in 17 restaurants and bars – from legendary chefs such as Peruvian star chef Gastón Acurio (Yukumanka) and Costas Spiliadis (Estiatorio Milos), who hails from Greece and runs a restaurant empire that spans New York to London and Miami. Pioneering British chef Heston Blumenthal is also represented at Atlantis The Royal, twice – with his restaurant Dinner and first cocktail bar Resonance.

Star line-up

For the opening of Atlantis The Royal in January 2023, its operators are planning a spectacular celebration, which will also be attended by international stars. According to a press release, the opening ceremony will be just as spectacular as that of the world-famous Atlantis The Palm with guests such as Robert De Niro, Gerard Butler and Kylie Minogue. Tim Kelly, the managing director of Atlantis Dubai, is looking forward to the event. "Finally, the moment has come to introduce 'Atlantis The Royal' as the most luxurious entertainment resort in the world. Resort openings like this only happen once or twice in a decade, and we can't wait to share it with the world."
