The Hollywood icon riffs on his curmudgeonly persona in a new, tongue-in-cheek campaign for the renowned distiller.

Glenmorangie has landed a coup: Actor Harrison Ford is their new spokesperson, promoting their Single Malt Scotch Whisky in a new global campaign. The 12-part series entitled "Once Upon a Time in Scotland" directed by Australian actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton, Ford riffs on his crotchety public persona as he goes on a humorous, self-referential journey to the home of Glenmorangie, discovering the peculiarities of the Scottish accent and wearing a kilt along the way. In addition, viewers get to admire the historic distillery in Tain where Glenmorangie has been distilled for over 180 years, the 19th century Ardross Castle and the breathtaking highlands around Loch Glass.

Caspar MacRae, President and CEO of The Glenmorangie Company, was delighted to work with the global star: "It was a dream come true to have him on board for this campaign and welcome him to the Highlands. Here, in our homeland, he learned so much about Glenmorangie. He is someone who has honed his craft over decades. That is why he appreciates the deep commitment and skill of our distillers. And just like us, he is not afraid to laugh at himself".

"I really enjoyed working with the team at the distillery – they are all great. The entire shoot was characterized by nice surprises: little unexpected moments. Thanks to Glenmorangie's sense of humor, we didn't have to take ourselves quite so seriously. I think what Joel produced has a certain charm, unpretentious and simply amusing," says Ford.
