Moreover, for the first time in this region, a restaurant has achieved the coveted 100 points. The best restaurants in Veneto

Le Calandre, Rubano – 100 Falstaff points (1st place).

A modern restaurant with great taste. The dishes are masterfully designed by Massimiliano Alajmo, who offers creative cuisine with rich, authentic and avant-garde flavours. The ‘cappuccino al nero’ with octopus and potato foam is a must, as is the risotto with saffron and liquorice. Excellent wine list.

Casa Perbellini, Verona – 96 Falstaff points (2nd place).

An elegant restaurant with a refined and intimate interior. Deliberately prepared dishes based on recipes from the area as well as small and interesting innovations created by the experienced hand of chef Giancarlo Perbellini. The chef’s fabulous creations are to be recommended.

La Peca, Lonigo – 96 Falstaff points (2nd place, ex aequo).

Dishes with flair, regionality and creativity. Distinctive flavours and refined, excellent ingredients make for a profound gastronomic experience that bears the signature of the Portinari brothers. The service is outstanding. Wonderful wine list.

Antica Osteria Cera, Lughetto – 95 Falstaff points (3rd place).

One of the best places for seafood cuisine. A mix of modern and contemporary cuisine with reinterpreted dishes and traditional Veneto recipes. The attentive service is like a pampering programme, and the carefully compiled wine list offers many great white wines.
