New look on Crete: The "Creta Palace" opens after makeover

From May, the "Creta Palace" will open its doors after an extensive refurbishment: the resort presents a new pool area, renovated luxury suites and the "Luxury Made Easy" concept from "Grecotel".

With the start of the summer season in May 2026, the "Creta Palace" will be fundamentally renewed. In a privileged location on the longest sandy beach on the island, the hotel combines clean, contemporary lines with the cultural identity of Crete.

The central eye-catcher is the newly designed pool landscape with four interconnected pools that visually connect with the Mediterranean Sea. The interplay of light, water and space continues inside the hotel: the generous glass fronts of the lobby offer a view of the lushly planted gardens with banana trees and frangipani.

Newly designed rooms

The accommodation in the main building has also been completely redesigned. Light woods, soft blue and cream tones characterize the elegant design of the suites with their clear room structure. Spacious bathrooms and walk-in showers provide even more comfort.

The resort offers a wide range of culinary delights: seven restaurants and four bars serve everything from fresh fish dishes to Asian-inspired cuisine and Italian classics.

Greek village square at the resort

The core of the complex, designed in the style of a village square, remains an atmospheric focal point. With a chapel, traditional kafeneio (café), small bottega and selected boutiques, an ensemble has been created here that brings island life to life in a condensed form.

All-inclusive concept

The resort is also realigning itself: From 2026, the hotel will become part of the "Luxme Edition" of "Grecotel". The "Luxury Made Easy" concept stands for a high-quality all-inclusive package that goes beyond traditional offers. These include a visit to Agreco Farm, where guests can gain an insight into farming and regional cuisine in formats such as "Be a Farmer for a Day".
