The Hollywood star is currently in Europe and is honoring his "Nobu Hotels" with festive Japanese ceremonies. The "Nobu" Group is also planning further projects in Europe.
Together with chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Meir Teper, co-founders of the luxury brand "Nobu", Hollywood star Robert de Niro is touring Europe until November 14 to celebrate newly opened and existing establishments with a sake ceremony.
Following the reopening of the "Nobu" hotel on the luxury Via Veneto in Rome last week, the three founders came together at the "Nobu Hotel Warsaw" on November 8 for the first time since the opening in 2020 to celebrate the sake ceremony (Kagami Biraki) .
As part of the ritual, the founders opened a wooden sake barrel together. In the Japanese tradition, the breaking of the barrel lid stands for happiness and unity. The sake was served in traditional masu cups, from which the guests toasted to harmony, happiness and the Nobu family spirit.

The "Nobu Hotel Warsaw" is the luxury brand's first hotel in Central and Eastern Europe. The success of the Polish hotel will continue when the new "Nobu Residences, Hotel and Restaurant" opens in Krakow at the beginning of 2026.
