The »Tenuta di Carleone« winery is located in picturesque Radda in Chianti. Here, the Linz-based industrialist family Karl Egger and renowned winemaker Sean O' Callaghan rely on an individual, sophisticated style to produce top Tuscan wines - with great success. This is evidenced by many awards - most recently by the most important Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso, which has once again awarded the prestigious »Tre Bicchieri« to the »UNO« single-vineyard wine. The ratings from Falstaff, Robert Parker, James Suckling, Antonio Galloni and Slow Wine are also outstanding.
Other products such as pomace brandy, gin and the highest quality olive oil from the Tenuta's olive groves complete the product portfolio.
In order to preserve the already outstanding quality of the wines produced at the »Tenuta di Carleone« and to further enhance it in the future, a new showpiece has been created in the form of a new wine cellar directly at the winery. In the new show and tasting room, the fine wines are tasted at top-class events.
The philosophy of the Egger family and winemaker Sean is clear: organic and biodynamic principles are implemented in the vineyard. Nothing is added to the wines; neither yeast nor fining agents are used. In addition to outstanding grapes, a good wine cellar and optimal processing are essential for a high-quality product. Constant temperature and humidity prevail in the 600 square meter cellar. There are concrete and stainless steel tanks as well as wooden barrels for fermentation and large and small oak storage barrels.

The entire family is behind the Tenuta di Carleone. In addition to the actual work in the family business KE KELIT in Linz as a successful, globally active pipe system producer, Egger's children Karoline and Karl and his sister Kristine make a very important contribution to the success of the family winery.
It is no longer just the winegrowing itself that makes Tenuta di Carleone an exceptional place. Two villas, managed by Egger's wife Melinda, with comfort and facilities in the absolute premium segment with a total of 15 top apartments directly in the vineyards make the winery a place of superlatives for all those who want to relax and recharge their batteries in harmony with nature. Events such as yoga weeks, Nuad Thai treatments, guided meditations and much more complement the rich local offer.
