Two hotels to open in May at new Tokyo landmark

As part of its strategic partnership with Tokyu Hotels, Pan Pacific will open two new hotels in Japan’s capital city in mid-May.

Tokyu Kabukicho Tower is a new landmark in Shinjuku, a special ward in Tokyo; it will be the largest hotel and entertainment complex in the Japanese capital. It was designed by the architectural firm Kume Sekkei, creators of the Yayoi Kusama Museum in Tokyo.

On May 19, 2023, two new hotels will open in the skyscraper, both part of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group: Bellustar Tokyo of the Pan Pacific brand and Hotel Groove Shinjuku of the Parkroyal brand will be the latest additions in this group´s expansion plans which include a new hotel in Malaysia from June.

Strategic partnership

Tokyu Hotels will manage the venues as part of a strategic partnership between Pan Pacific with Tokyu Hotels. “Our two new hotels are situated right in the heart of Shinjuku, which will be a major draw for international travellers and a prime location for us to capture the global tourism demand,” said Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

Details about the new hotels

Bellustar Tokyu is situated on the uppermost 39th to 47th floors of the new tower and will offer 97 rooms, ranging between 42sqm and 277sqm, with seven-metre-wide windows offering panoramic views of the city. Five suites are at the tower’s peak, ranging from 114sqm to 277sqm, and on the 47th floor sits the largest penthouse, which comes with 24/7 hotel butler service and in-room chef private dining. The hotel will have its main restaurant on the 45th floor, accompanied by teppanyaki, sushi, bar and lounge offerings.

The hotel provides access to the tower´s entertainment facilities, such as the live performance venue Zepp Shinjuku. There are also private event rooms and an open-air East Terrace.
