Unsere Traubenbrände sind naturbelassen, also ohne Schönung und ohne Fasslagerung! Gereift in Edelstahlfässern, unter Ausschluß von Licht und Luft, dadurch werden sie so dicht und gehaltvoll. Sehr alte Sorte, die durch Mutation aus dem Grauburgunder entstand. Die Jungblätter zeigen sich anfangs spinnwebig behaart, sind danach jedoch fast unbehaart. Die mittelgroßen, dunkelgrünen, rundlichen Blätter sind meist ganz oder schwach dreilappig, selten jedoch schwach angedeutet fünflappig. Das Blatt hat eine blasig derbe Oberfläche und ist stumpf gezähnt, die Zähne sind im Vergleich zu anderen Rebsorten mittelgroß. Die walzenförmige Traube ist selten geschultert, mittelgroß und dichtbeerig. Rundliche bis ovale, mittelgroße Beeren von grüngelblicher Farbe und dünnhäutiger Schale.

Initially quite subtle on the nose, with a little patience fruity notes of grape, banana, a little apple, yeast and a light honey savouriness unfold. Mild and velvety on the palate. Delicate grape, nuances of malt, grape skin and yeast. Subtly fruity. Short finish.
