SCOFFLAW®: Dieser Cocktail wurde in Amerika zur Zeit der Prohibition kreiert. Damals mischte man den Spirits gern die intensiv rote und doch unschuldige Farbe des Granatapfels bei, um als “Gesetzes Verspotter” (Scofflaw) genussvollen Widerstand gegen das strenge, doch praxisferne Alkoholverbot zu leisten. Die Zeit ist reif, diesen Cocktail wieder aufleben zu lassen: Unser MERWUT Edition Grand Luxe, gewonnen aus holzfassgereiftem Burgunderwein und mit Wermutkräutern aromatisiert, wird kombiniert mit den robusten Röstaromen des Roggenwhiskys und der kirschigen Granatapfel-Frucht. Diese Aromen veredeln die leicht bittere, würzige Charakteristik des Merwut und machen Merwut Scofflaw zu einem unwiderstehlichen Digestif. Merwut SCOFFLAW® 2 Eiswürfel, 5-10 cl. Merwut SCOFFLAW, eine halbe Scheibe Zitrone, 2-3 Tropfen Bitter, optimalerweise im Tumbler servieren. Zur Garnitur eine in Sirup eingelegte Amarenakirsche auf Zahnstocher.

Intense nose with notes of dark berries, wormwood and savoury hints. Served on ice, a balanced bitterness of wormwood and savoury notes unfold. The midpalate is somewhat softer and slightly fruity. A certain cereal flavour is noticeable. The finish again brings herbal notes with fruity bitterness.
